Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. _Ben Franklin
My name is Brenda DySard. I have been a third grade teacher for over 20 years in Wake County. I graduated from Long Island University with a Masters of Education. Before transferring to Lead Mine, I taught at Olive Chapel for 12 years teaching third grade. I also taught third grade at Highcroft Drive and Cary Elementary School.
My husband and our four children live in Wake Forest. Our oldest is off to college in the fall. I am also a stepmom to a 16 year old boy entering his Junior year in high school and twins who will begin middle school this year. We also have a sweet and playful Havanese named Cooper.
When I am not teaching, I love attending live theater and country concerts. I enjoy traveling to the NC mountains and beaches while spending time with my family and friends. You will often find me at HomeGoods finding fun items to decorate and stage homes.
I look forward to getting to know many more little Leopards and their families at Lead Mine Elementary School.
